Serino Music provides two complete sound systems for every wedding. Sometimes, a third system is added for cocktail hours when there are multiple locations. All systems are set up and tested before the ceremony to ensure smooth transitions for guests. After the event, everything is packed up.
The ceremony sound system uses a battery-powered EV Everse 8 speaker, positioned to one side to cover the audience and stay out of photos. It includes a wireless mic (lapel or handheld) for the officiant and an extra wireless handheld mic for readings and vows. I recommend using a handheld mic for vows instead of a lapel mic on the groom to avoid feedback. The officiant should hold the mic for the couple, or they can hold it while speaking their vows.
The reception system features a standard PA with sub with stereo speakers, DJ equipment, and dance floor lighting. It also includes a wireless handheld mic for speeches and toasts. I always aims to be a good volume to keep your dance floor packed.

Every package includes FX lighting that adds color and movement to the dance floor, making your reception feel more like a party. The main setup has FX lights on speaker stands, near the DJ table, while others have them centrally located on a speaker stand in a road case. Additionally, I have lighting tubes to accent our DJ booth when the dance floor is open.

Yes! This important skill enhances the quality of an event with smooth and comfortable transitions.
I will make sure your wedding goes well by giving your guests important information and guidance for the day's events. From arrival to the last dance, I’ll lead everyone through each step for a seamless experience. My professionalism and attention to detail make your special day unforgettable.

I usually set up and test two or three sound systems, so I like to arrive 2, hopefully 3 hours before the ceremony. This gives me time to set up calmly, without rushing, which helps reduce stress on your special day. While I can set up quickly if needed, I prefer this extra time.

I does not attend rehearsals for two main reasons:
I’m often busy with other weddings or events during the scheduled rehearsal times.
Based on my experience, it's unnecessary for me to attend.
Reason #1: Most weekends, I’m at weddings, and during weekdays, I’m typically at events. Therefore, scheduling conflicts make attending rehearsals difficult.
Reason #2: I can easily gather the information we need on your wedding day by asking a few questions, such as the cue for the processional and who walks in last. Since I play the processional music live, I can adjust song lengths as needed to match the pace of your procession. There's no need to practice timing together at a rehearsal; you can walk at your speed while I handle the timing.

Yes - I’d love to help!
I have a "standard setlist" of songs he knows. Always learning new songs, and I update these lists online regularly.
Clients can request for me to learn and perform a song not on the list for a fee of $50. If you want me to learn, perform, and professionally record the song, the cost is $400.

I enjoy traveling! Our main service areas are Washington and Oregon, but I also provide DJ services for destination weddings. Let's get started! I do not charge for travel within 60 miles of downtown Seattle, WA, or Portland, OR.
For events farther away, travel fees for fuel and lodging will be listed in your proposal before you commit.

I want my clients to have a big say in their wedding music. Unlike other companies, I don’t impose our style; I focus on what our clients want. I help them pick music for key moments like the processional, first dance, and exit song. Each client gets access an app called Vibo which is a great tool to add songs for each important moment of your wedding or event. Clients can specify their music choices or simply ask us to choose.
They can update their answers throughout the year, but the final questionnaire is due a month before the wedding.

Serino Music accepts cash, checks, and e-checks for payment. Cash payments must be made in person. You can also pay online with e-check through our client portal. There is a 3% fee for credit card payments made over the phone or online. As a small business, we just don’t have the profit margin to absorb those fees.

My process includes an initial meeting and at least one creative planning session to review the timeline, music, and logistics before your wedding (after your online wedding planner is complete). This can be done via in person or Google Meets/FaceTime.
I’m available throughout the planning process and are easy to reach. I arrive 2 – 3 hours before your wedding to walk the space and design a custom audio layout, even if we are new to the venue.
I’m also open to touring the venue beforehand if it’s somewhere I haven’t worked before.

Yes, I have $1 million in liability insurance and can provide a certificate that lists your venue as an additional insured if needed.

Life happens. I strive to treat every client as we wish to be treated. Retainer payments are for the services outlined in the agreement and are non-refundable, but I can postpone balance transfers for situations beyond anyone's control.
COVID-19 Policy:
COVID-19 is an ongoing issue that can affect travel and events globally. Cancellations due to events that were expected are not covered. However, we allow event postponements if the main client becomes ill with COVID-19.
If government restrictions on gatherings are imposed within 60 days of the event (but were not in place when booking), all payments will transfer to a new date if the client consults with the company and DJ before selecting the new date.
More terms and/or fees may apply and will be included in the agreement before payments or commitment.
“Andrew brought amazing energy to the wedding and the dance floor was packed the entire night!!! He was communicative and enthusiastic throughout the whole process and took time to make sure we were always on the same page. Andrew was also open to a last minute change to the father-daughter dance, which was a highlight of the wedding. My husband and I LOVED his rendition of our wedding song, and will be reaching out to Andrew if we have any DJ needs in the future!”
